Geocache Description:

This cache is not located at the posted coordinates. Retrieving the necessary information to find it is trivial -- no skills needed! Depending on factors outside your control, it may, however, take some time and a few attempts. The given flight data below is almost entirely fictional, but the amount of flights, delays and cancellations is loosely based upon real data.

Welcome to Geo airways! Somehow you have made it to the airport, and here is your boarding pass:

Your flight to Seattle might leave shortly. I say might, because you can never know for sure. Even though things tend to run smoothly around here, sometimes the weather may cause delays or even cancellations. Sometimes the guys in the tower need a nap, causing even more delays. And sometimes we at the airline would arrange a strike.

You know, basically, air travel sometimes has its frustrations. You may not reach the airport on time, due to delays in the transportation system, non-running light rail transfers, delayed buses, exhausted taxi capacity or even road accidents. Luckily you got this far, but your frustrations may not end here.

According to our records, you are en route to Seattle. However, from this particular airport almost no-one goes there, so this flight is operated by a small propeller airplane seating about two or three passengers. There is only one flight a day and it originates from Seattle, so for you to leave towards your destination, you depend on that flight being able to land here, which it will if weather permits so-called visual flights. The pilot is actually kind of crazy, but not a daredevil, so he would actually attempt to land even if weather does not permit, but only to some extent. The flight will be cancelled in fog, snow, rain, low clouds etc. Also, this is a peak-only flight, so if the amount of traffic here is at a low, there is no flight at this time. On the following screen you can see if the flight from Seattle exists and is on its way.

Even if the flight in is delayed or even cancelled, we would, as you may not expect, but probably is used to, pretend that your flight out is on time for as long as possible and then some more. Well, except if there is a large amount of delays on this airport at this time. If that is the case, we would just cancel the flight. You can always fly another day, right? Anyways on the following screen you can check if your flight exists and is on time:

So at this time I would hope that you have found all the information you need to let your travels continue towards your goal. Maybe you would like to write a few words about your adventures, or frustrating airport experiences in your log? Whatever you choose, I wish you a nice trip and the best of luck!
