The Church
There has been a Methodist Church in Romsey since 1811 when the Primitive Methodists had a chapel a short distance from the current church in The Hundred. Two years later a chapel was built in Banning Street by the Wesleyans, but by 1875 disagreements began between the Wesleyans and the Primitive Methodists, which led to them separating. The Wesleyans built the current church in front of you, which opened in 1882. The Primitive Methodists left and built a new chapel in Middlebridge Street, which they later sold to the Elim Trust (see Church Micro 6933...Romsey – Elim) when in 1935, following the Methodist Union, they re-joined the Wesleyan Methodists. The church was extended in 1982 to make room for an increasing congregation.

The cache is not at the given coordinates. To work out where it is hidden simply find the answers to the following easy questions:

1. There are AB steps from the pavement to the front doors of the church. (count from the right OR the left, not both)
2. The Reverend's telephone number keeps changing, so C = 4, D = 2, and E = 6
3. Sunday Services are held at FG:HJ
4. Above the doors are two pairs of numbers - the top numbers are KL and the bottom numbers are MN.
