Geocache Description:

This Little Bridge is the 10th cache in the River View Series, although they can be done out of order, as each cache in the series stands alone.

This is a Little Bridge multi-cache, where you have to gather some facts at the posted co-ordinate for the bridge as follows:

A. B. The bridge sides are in 2 colours. What colour are the handrails/uprights? Record the number of letters. A =

What colour are the bottom half of the triangular patterned sides/spur offs? Record the number of letters. B =

C. How many uprights support the handrail on one side of the bridge?

D. How many bolts secure the uprights to the bottom half? (Only count bolts for one upright).

E. How many spur off structures, (forming triangles for strength), protrude from the R/H side of the bridge? (Ensure you check from end to end of the bridge).

Answers checksum = 34

Substitute the letters below, for your number answers and do the calculations, to find the cache co-ordinate:

N51 25. (A /B) (E - (B - D)) (B - A)

W002 29. (C - (B + D)) (E - (B + D)) (A - B)

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.
