This cache is part of the "TRIBUTES17" series placed by 13 members of NoVAGO, honoring some of the best caches placed in Northern Virginia as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of NoVAGO. This particular cache honors CWillyPnGn's three wherigo caches: "Totoro" (GC56737), "All Aboard! Next Stop, Fairfax Station!" (GC5QA9K), and "The Royal Order of the Holly Mackeral" (GC6N29P). Whether it's hunting gnomes, finding a forest spirit, or finding a ticket to a train station, each of his wherigos has a very unique theme and involves using your imagination, which earned them awards from the NoVAGO community. Since I do not have the technical skills to make a wherigo, I made this one a multi instead. This cache involves two field puzzles. Inside the final stage of this cache is a clue for the final TRIBUTES17 cache (GC7CXFE).
Be prepared to bring the following with you in order to complete this multi:
- Although the final has a pen provided, I recommend that you bring your own if you're going to write the clues down on a personal notebook.
- Water to keep you hydrated while hiking on the trail.
You are welcome to take and post pictures while on your adventure, just do not post pictures of the clues. In addition, DO NOT take the lamenated clues out of the stages. If you have started on the multi, but didn't get to finish, please post a note or a DNF. Have fun and good luck!
