Geocache Description:

This is a two-part Multi-Cache that will give you the opportunity to look around the inside and the outside of this beautiful library.

This cache is being placed in recognition of our son, who used the Mark Skinner Library while attending BBA before going off to college. He is now a Librarian in Louisville Kentucky.

***

A little history of the Library:

The Mark Skinner Library was opened in 1897 as a private library.

In 2003, it became Manchester's public library. In 2007, it was decided to move the library to a new location.

Groundbreaking occurred on June 21st, 2013. On Saturday November 15th, 2014 the library had its Grand Opening.

An overall comment about the Library from Executive Director Betsy Bleakie : "We have evolved from a historic library that is more about books to a 21st Century "hub" - an inspiring gathering place for the community, open to all, and providing resources for personal enrichment and growth."

Please look around this beautiful library and visit it often.
