Cette cache virtuelle vous fera découvrir St Brice Courcelles en trois lieux particuliers mais ayant un point commun : On peut ou on pourrait y observer certains volatiles.
A comme Anatidés,
dont le plus connu est le colvert qui appartient aux "barboteurs", ceux qui préfèrent s'alimenter en surface, ou à faible profondeur d'eau, en avançant à coups de pattes circulaires et alternés. Il plonge la tête dans l'eau et bascule vers l'avant, ce qui lui permet d'atteindre le fond de l'eau avec son bec. Omnivore, il s'aventure aussi sur les prairies pour brouter... et même dans les rues du village ! Le mieux pour les voir est encore de surplomber leur milieu aquatique naturel sur la seule et unique passerelle couleur de flamands !
C comme Columbidae,
vivait à l'origine dans les milieux terrestres mais certaines espèces se sont répandues en plaine et dans les villes. Elles se nourrissant principalement de graines, mais avec un régime très élargi autour des lieux où les déchets alimentaires leur sont disponibles, ce qui les fait parfois qualifier d'éboueurs urbains. St Brice Courcelles compte deux superbes tours situées dans des propriétés privées mais visibles en partie de l’extérieur.
H comme Hirundininae,
est un oiseau migrateur qui revient dans son nid de l’année précédente. Malheureusement, suite aux nuisances, ces nids situés souvent dans des lieux habités sont détruits.... Le comité environnement a donc décidé d’installer à proximité de la Vesle une tour où elles pourront nicher en toute quiétude.
Pour valider cette cache vous devrez faire une photo de chacun de ces lieux en mentionnant quel volatile on peut y voir (3 au total) où vous apparaitrez, vous ou votre GPS, avec en option votre pseudo géocaching écrit sur un papier ou votre main. Puis envoyez les par mail ou message.
Entre Hirundinidae, Columbidae et Anatidés, gageons d’une belle balade à la découverte de notre commune.

This virtual cache will make you discover St Brice Courcelles in three particular places but having a common point: One can or one could observe some volatile there. Two of them serve as shelters and one can observe the third.
A Like Anatidae family,
The best known is the mallard that belongs to the "dabbling", those who prefer to feed on the surface, or shallow water, advancing with circular paws and alternate. He plunges his head into the water and tilts forwards, which allows him to reach the bottom of the water with his beak. Omnivore, he also ventures on the meadows to graze ... and even in the streets of the village! The best way to see them is to look out over their natural aquatic environment on the one and only flamenco gateway!
C like the Columbidae family,
originally lived in terrestrial environments, but some species have spread to the plains and cities. They feed mainly on seeds, but with a very wide diet around places where food waste is available to them, which sometimes makes them qualify as urban garbage collectors. St Brice Courcelles has two superb dovecotes located in private properties but visible partly from the outside.
H like Hirundininae family,
is a migratory bird returning to its nest from the previous year. Unfortunately, following nuisances, these nests often located in inhabited places are destroyed .... The environment committee has decided to install near the Vesle a tower where they can nest in peace.
To validate this cache you will have to make a photo of each of these places by mentioning which bird we can see (3 in total) Where you will appear, you or your GPS, with optional,your pseudo Geocaching written on a paper or your hand. Then send them by mail without logging the cache.
Between Hirundinidae, Columbidae and Anatidae, we wager on a beautiful walk to discover our town.
