Moritz und das tanzende Bild
Der Hanauer Freiheitsplatz wurde 2015 vollständig umgestaltet. Seitdem steht hier auch ein markantes Kunstwerk: Moritz und das tanzende Bild.
Der Bildhauer Robert Schad hat das, aus zwei Gusseisenskulpturen bestehende, Werk erschaffen. Es zeigt den Hanauer Bürger Moritz Daniel Oppenheim. Moritz betrachtet hier aus einigem Abstand eine abstrakte Konstruktion, das tanzende Bild.
Moritz kam im Jahre 1799 in Hanau zur Welt und wirkte als Porträt- und Historienmaler. Er schuf in seinem Leben über 700 Kunstwerke und verstarb 1882 in Frankfurt am Main.
Moritz and the moving picture
The Hanau Freiheitsplatz was completely rearranged 2015. Since then, a remarkable piece of art has also appeared here: Moritz and the moving picture.
The sculptor Robert Schad did create this artwork from cast iron. It’s showing the Hanau citizen Moritz Daniel Oppenheim. Moritz is watching a abstract construction from some distance, it's the moving picture.
Moritz was born in 1799 at Hanau and was a portrait and historic painter. He did create more than 700 pictures before he died in 1882 at Frankfurt am Main.

1. Ermittle die Maße A, B, C und D wie auf den Bildern gezeigt und sende mir deine Ergebnisse per Mail über mein Geocaching-Profil.
2. Mache ein Bild von Moritz und dir (oder deinem GPS Empfänger) und füge es deinem Log hinzu.
Du brauchst nicht auf meine Rückmeldung zu warten. Ich melde mich wenn etwas nicht stimmt.

2. Take a picture of Moritz and you (or your GPS receiver) and add it to your log.
