Taras widokowy na XXX piętrze Pałacu Kultury i Nauki w Warszawie (PKiN).
Rzeczywista "Top" atrakcja dla zwiedzających Warszawę.
O Pałacu:
Sam Pałac Kultury i Nauki (PKiN) to socrealistyczna budowla wzniesiona w latach 1952 - 1955 na polecenia Stalina i nosząca jego imię do roku 1956. Kontrowersyjny budynek - ma wielu zwolenników jak i przeciwników. Aktualnie wpisany do rejestru zabytków co także wywołało kontrowersje. Wciąż najwyższy budynek w Polsce, chociaż niebawem zostanie ukończona budowa drapacza chmur w pobliżu który będzie wyższy.
W budynku znajduje się kilka muzeów, teatrów, kino, basen i Sala Kongresowa na 3000 osób.
I oczywiście taras widokowy.

O tarasie:
Taras znajduje się na 30-tym piętrze. Wjazd windą. Wejście do budynku od wschodu od Placu Defilad. Kasy na parterze (kilka schodów do góry). Wjazd windą na taras jest płatny (20PLN).
Taras Widokowy na XXX piętrze czynny jest codziennie w godz. 10:00 - 20:00 Od maja do września w każdy piątek i sobotę czynny jest Taras Nocą w godz. 20:00 - 23:30
Kesz:
Aby zalogować kesza musisz wjechać na taras widokowy i
do wpisu załączyć zdjęcie z tarasu
z widocznym na nim GPS'em lub smartfonem lub sobą.
Proszę nie przysyłać zdjęć na mój profil GC.
Opublikowane współrzędne wskazują wschodnią stronę tarasu, ale taras jest dookoła więc możesz zrobić to zdjęcie na każdym miejscu na tarasie.
Ciekawostki:
Aktualnie dla mnie największą ciekawostką związaną z PKiN i tarasem jest coroczny bieg im. Stanisława Tyma grającego rolę Ryszarda Ochódzkiego, bohatera filmu „Miś” w reżyserii Stanisława Barei, który w filmie wbiega schodami na taras. Bieg zalicza się do kategorii towerrunning.
Żeby dostać się schodami na taras trzeba pokonać 793 stopnie.
Jak tu się dostać:
Najlepsza metoda to transport publiczny. Z metra linii "M1" wysiądź na stacji "Centrum", z metra linii "M2" wysiądź na stacji "Świętokrzyska". Jeśli weźmiesz pociąg wysiądź na stacji "Warszawa Centralna". Z pociągów lokalnych możesz wysiąść na stacji "Śródmieście". Z tramwaju lub autobusu wysiadaj na przystanku "Centrum".
Jeśli weźmiesz samochód to będzie ciężko znaleźć miejsce do parkowania na ulicach w czasie dni roboczych i parkowanie jest płatne od poniedziałku do piątku w godzinach 8:00 do 18:00.
Pałac ma swoje własne miejsca parkingowe dookoła budynku - wjazdy są zlokalizowane od Marszałkowskiej i Emilii Plater ale ten parking jest płatny 24/7 i całkiem kosztowny (6PLN / godz.).

Viewing Terrace on 30th (XXX floor) of The Palace of Culture and Science
Real "Top" attraction for tourists visiting Warsaw.
About the Palace:
The Palace itself - socrealistic structure raised between 1952 and 1955 by the order of Stalin and bearing his name for about a year. The building is shrouded in controversy - his very existence has many detractors and supporters. Currently it figures on the list of historical monuments which was also topic of controversy. It remains the highest building in Poland so far, though a nearby soon-to-be-completed skyscraper is supposed to be higher.
The building houses several museums, theaters, a cinema and the Congress Hall of 3000 person capacity.
And of course, the sight-seeing terrace.

About the terrace itself:
The terrace is located at the 30th floor. Elevator is available. Entry from the east side of the building, by the Parade Square ("Plac Defilad"). Entrance is paid (about 5Eur) in cash-desk on the level zero (take a few stairs up). The XXX floor Terrace is open 10:00 - 20:00 everyday. During the months from May to September it's also open nightly from 20:00 to 23:30 every Friday and Saturday.
Cache:
To log the cache get all the way to the top and
include a photo (to Your log)
of the view from the terrace with your GPS or smartphone in the frame or selfie. Posted coordinates are pointing to east side of terrace but terrace is all around the top so You can take a photo on any place of the terrace.

Trivia:
For me, the most interesting thing related to the Palace and the terrace so far is the annual up the stairs race, a tribute to Stanisław Bareja's movie "Miś" (Teddy Bear). The run bears the name of Stanisław Tym, the actor playing main role of Rysiek Ochódzki, who had to run up the stairs to reach the terrace in the movie. The race qualifies as towerrunning. To reach the terrace takes 793 stair steps.
How to get here?:
The best way to get here is to use public transportation. Use "M1" underground line and hop off on "Centrum" station, or use "M2" and hop off on "Świętokrzyska" station. If You will take a train hop off on "Warszawa Centralna" station. From local trains You can hop off on "Śródmieście" station. From tram or bus hop off on "Centrum" stop.
If You will take a car it will be tricky to find a parking place during business hours on streets and it's paid from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Palace has his own parking places around the building - entrances are located on "Marszałkowska" street and "Emilii Plater" street but this parking is paid 24/7 and quite expensive (about 1.5 Eur per hour).
