Die Krone des Kronplatzes: Das ist die mächtige Friedensglocke Concordia 2000, die sich am Gipfel des Skigebietes, direkt über der 11 Meter breiten Panorama-Aussichts-Plattform befindet. Vielleicht ein etwas ungewöhnlicher Ort für eine Glocke, aber dafür ein wahrlich wunderbarer Platz.
"Concordia 2000“ wurde die prächtige Glocke auf dem 2.275 Meter hohen Kronplatz getauft, die infolge des 25-jährigen Jubiläums des Skigebiets im Jahre 2003 von den Gemeinden Bruneck, Olang und St. Vigil in Enneberg auf der Aussichtsplattform am Gipfel angebracht wurde.
Diese Friedensglocke mit der lateinischen Inschrift „Donet deus populis pacem“, zu Deutsch „Gott schenke den Völkern Frieden“, erinnert an die Erschließungspioniere des Kronplatzes und ist St. Bernhard, dem Schutzpatron des Bergsteiger und Skifahrer gewidmet.
Mit einem Gewicht von 18,1 Tonnen, einer Höhe von 3,11 Metern und einem Durchmesser von 3 Metern, ist die Concordia 2000 eine der größten Glocken in Südtirol und in den Alpen. Der Glockenklöppel wiegt 500 Kilogramm und lässt einen cis-Ton erklingen. Gestaltet wurde die Concordia 2000 von Paul dë Doss-Moroder aus Gröden. Insgesamt ist der Glockenturm 21,8 Meter hoch.
Auf der Aussichtsplattform im Skigebiet Kronplatz, auf der diese mächtige Glocke steht, befindet sich ein Panoramarelief aus Bronze mit den Bezeichnungen der Berge der Umgebung und der Himmelsrichtungen der wichtigsten europäischen Städte.
Die Concordia 2000 läutet täglich um 12.00 Uhr und wenn in einem Land die Todesstrafe abgeschaffen wird, ein Verurteilter begnadigt worden ist oder wenn ein Krieg zu Ende ist!

Con il nome “Concordia 2000” è stata battezzata la splendida campana a 2.275 metri di altitudine sulla cima del Plan de Corones, in tedesco „Kronplatz“, eretta qui - su una piattaforma panoramica - nel 2003 dai comuni di Brunico, Valdaora e San Vigilio di Marebbe in occasione del 25esimo anniversario dell'area sciistica Plan de Corones.
Questa campana per la pace, che reca l'iscrizione latina “Donet deus populis pacem”, in italiano “Dio doni pace ai popoli”, ricorda i pionieri che 25 anni fa hanno iniziato a costruire qui i primi impianti. È dedicata a San Bernardo, il patrono degli alpinisti e sciatori.
Con un peso di 18,1 tonnellate, un'altezza di 3,11 metri e un diametro di 3 metri, la Concordia 2000 è una delle campane più grandi non solo dell'Alto Adige, ma di tutte le Alpi. Il batacchio pesa 500 chilogrammi e suona in „do diesis“. La Concordia 2000 è stata disegnata dall'artista Paul dë Doss-Moroder della Val Gardena. La torre della campana ha un'altezza totale di 21,8 metri.
Sulla piattaforma panoramica, che supporta l'imponente campana, si trova un rilievo panoramico in bronzo che riporta i nomi delle montagne circostanti e indica la direzione delle più importanti città europee.
La Concordia 2000 nel comprensorio sciistico Plan de Corones suona tutti i giorni alle ore 12.00, ma anche ogni qualvolta in un paese del mondo viene abolita la pena di morte, graziato un condannato a morte oppure quando finisce una guerra!
