Zatím ne celá ale jen ostrůvek citlivě opravených objektů uprostřed továrních hal.Dostanete se do areálu libčické šroubárny založené roku1872 Pražským spolkem železných hutí.K vidění je zde budova bývalého mlýna z režných cihel, kde uhlí mleli na prach pro spalování v kotlích sousední kotelny.Rekonstrukce mlýna dostala v roce 2013 národní cenu za architekturu Grand Prix.
Vedlejší větší cihlový objekt je kotelna, starší nízká část byla roku 1928 doplněna o větší halu se dvěma kotli, ty již k vidění nejsou protože i tento objekt prošel rekonstrukcí, při které jen ze sklepa vyvezli 100 tater suti.
A dostáváme se k dominantě objektů a tou je komín s vodojemem, ten postavila firma Antonína Dvořáka (stavitele ne skladatele) a Karla Fischera, inženýra.Společnou firmu založili roku 1895 a někdy mezi lety 1901 až 1905 postavili tento komín.Na místo činu se firma Fischer vrátila ještě v roce 1921, kdy přistavěla vodní rezervoár.Komín tím získal na stabilitě, nemusel se stavět zvláštní vodojem a voda v zimě nezamrzala.Touto dostavbou se fy.Fischer chlubila i v inzerátech.
Podmínkou uznání logu je fotografie u kteréhokoli z těchto tří objektů.
Dovnitř se dostanete přes vrátnici (waypoint), od 7.00 do 19.00 volně, jindy zvoňte na vrátného.
Not all of it yet, but a couple of carefully reconstructed buildings among the factory halls. You will get to the site of screw and wire factory, founded on 1872 by the Prague iron works society. Here you can see the former coal mill building made of fair-face brickwork, where coal had been ground to powder to be burned in the nearby boiler house. The reconstruction of the coal mill has won the Czech National Architecture Award, the Architecture Grand Prix in 2013.
The adjacent larger brickwork building contains the furnace. The older and lower part was on 1928 complemented with a larger hall with two furnaces. You won’t be able to see them though, as this building has also undergone a reconstruction, during which a hundred Tatra lorries worth of debris was removed just from the basement.
Now we get to the dominant feature of the site, which is a factory chimney with water tank. It was built by the company of Antonín Dvořák (a builder, not the famous composer) and Karel Fischer, engineer. They founded their company on 1895, and built the chimney sometimes between 1901 and 1905. The Fischer company has returned later on 1921 to add the water tank. This improved the stability of the chimney, there was no need to built a separate water tower, and the water didn’t freeze during winter. The Fischer company then boasted this achievement in their advertisement.
To log the cache, you will have to provide a picture of yourself by any of these three objects.
You can get to the site through the gatehouse (waypoint), freely between 7AM and 7PM, on other times ring up the gatekeeper.
