Eigentlich besteht der Schnitzbiegelhof aus 2 Haupthäusern, dem Vorderen Schnitzbiegel rechts und dem etwas von der Straße abgesetzten Hinteren Schnitzbiegel. Der Hintere Schnitzbiegel ist ein heute noch bewirtschafteter Bauernhof, während der Vordere Schnitzbiegel vom benachbarten Hotel als Weinstube und Gästehaus genutzt wird. Im Sommer befindet sich hier ein gemütlicher Biergarten.
Hier aufzuwachsen war der absolute Traum: Alte Scheunen und Nebengebäude zum Stöbern sowie ein großer Garten und ein Bauernhof nebenan - bei uns war immer was los und wir hatten einen Riesenspaß!

The Schnitzbiegel is one of the oldest complexes of buildings here in Schmiden. I (Sonny) grew up here. The name Schnitzbiegel derives from pear slices which one of the farmer’s wifes handed out to schoolchildren in the 19th century. The word Biegel derives from the horseshoe layout of the buildings.
The Schnitzbiegel farm consists of 2 farms with surrounding buildings. The Vordere Schnitzbiegel to the right and the Hintere Schnitzbiegel to the left, which is still a working farm today. The Vordere Schnitzbiegel was turned into a wine tavern and guesthouse. In summer, you can enjoy yourself in a beer garden here. Growing up here was great: We played hide-and-seek in old barns and explored the farm buildings. We also had a big garden and the farm next door – there was always a lot of action going on and we had great fun!
