Geocache Description:

Dansk beskrivelse (English below):

English description:
At the corner of Rådhuspladsen and H.C Andersens Boulevard you will find a statue of the most wellknown Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen.

His fairy tales are translated to 125 languages and are wellknown among kids across the world. That makes him one of the most wellknown Danes in the world.

In order to log this virtual you must fulfill the following requirements:

1) Which famous landmark does Hans Christian Andersen look at just across the boulevard?
2) What year was the statue raised (opstillet)? The answer can be found on the plaque at the foundation in front of the statue.
3) There is an inscription with three lines of text on the foundation (not on a plaque) at the back of the statue. What is the word on the second line? (Please notice that this inscription may be a little hard to find and read, especially in darkness or rainy weather)
4) Finally please upload a photo of yourself with your online log (your face does not have to be visible) and a geocaching item (GPS, cacher name etc.) at/on the statue.

Please send me the answers. Preferably via the Geocaching message center or alternatively via the email address on my profile. Do not include your answers in your log.

Feel free to log the virtual right away, but be aware that I will delete logs where no answers have been received and/or where a photo is missing in the log.

Thank you for visiting and enjoy your visit to "the King's Copenhagen"
