Oslo City Hall is the city's administrative body and the seat of the City Council. It was inaugurated in 1950.
It took almost 20 years to build (1931-1950), interrupted by WW2. The building is decorated by great Norwegian art from 1900-1950, with motifs from Norwegian history, culture and working life. Every year in December Oslo City Hall hosts the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
Why the “goat cheese” used as background picture? The building was intended to symbolize Norway heading for the future while preserving some basic Norwegian values. The classic Norwegian brown cheese, often called "goat cheese", may illustrate this and the towers look unmistakably slightly like a couple of "goat cheese". The building was therefore unofficially called "geitosten – the goat cheese" in the beginning.
The task
Simply place yourself at the given coordinate. Then take a picture with the “goat cheese” – sorry – with the City Hall in the background and yourself, part of yourself or your geocaching device in the front. Upload the photo together with your log. There is no need to send us any message.
