About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

NB: This is very close to a private residence on a very narrow road, please be respectful and be careful of traffic.

About Calbourne & Shalfleet Station

The station was situated between the two villages of Calbourne and Shalfleet. Following the closure of Newport Station after the Southern Railway took over the line the wood and corrugated iron ticket office was moved from Newport to Calbourne. The station has a 160' single line siding serving a small goods yard at the back of the platform. Although officially known as Calbourne & Shalfleet the signs indicate that the station was also just known as Calbourne.
