An Event Cache Celebrating Nukeworker and Racketballgirl's 15,000 geocache find!

Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl logged their first cache on May 20, 2007. The cache was GCHECE and the name was CAA I-40/81 Clark's Vacation Pit Stop. Their log read:
“Found out about geocaching from a relative-in-law. This was my first one found. Fun stuff! They were right about the bugs. Nukeworker”
Those of us who have been around for a few years know who that relative-in-law is. LOL… They now share some pretty awesome grandchildren. The cache was hidden by The Griswolds and has now been archived.
15,000 geocaches, a few years, and MANY tanks of gas later they found GCN6YV named Turnagain Arm Tidal Bore Earthcache. This cache was one of many geocaches they found on their recent trip to Alaska. Alaska was their 50th and therefore final of the fifty states to visit and geocache. What an accomplishment!!!
Their log read:
“After traveling North on an Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver we have landed in Anchorage for 10 days before we continue to Denali. A visit to Alaska has been on our bucket list forever, so we are extremely excited to finally be here. This is our 50th state to cache in and we will find our 15,000th cache during this trip.
We decided that this would be our 15,000th cache find. WOW, what an amazing experience that was so awesome that we came back a second day to experience it again. Today there were two surfers trying to catch the wave despite the windy, raining weather. During our second visit there were 5. Not only did we see it approaching, we could hear it...even with the wind blowing. Without this detailed earthcache I'm not sure we would have realized the significance of this Tidal Bore. Our deepest appreciation to the CO for developing this geological lesson that definitely earns a favorite point from us. We've sent our email with the details of our visit.
A definite bonus for this milestone was meeting this CO at a Flash Mob Event later in our visit to Anchorage!!!!”

A look at their stats reveals that they have found nearly 950 Earthcaches while placing an even 40 of their own. That is amazing in the Earthcaching world. They have attended every type of event created by Groundspeak and have held thirteen events of their own to share geocaching with others. In addition to those events they have chaired the Events Committee for ArkGeo. Thier total hides to give back to this hobby or addiction is 230. Our thanks to them!!! Not included in their total count of finds are the 604 Benchmarks they have found and logged. All and all, we would say they are some pretty fantastic geocachers!
Come and help us celebrate the addition of Nukeworker and Racketballgirl into the Arkansas 15,000 Club. Please bring a story about this wonderful couple to share with the others and with them. We can imagine that there are some interesting ones.
