The Abigails consist of Richard (me), Adele (the wife) and Ronan (the little man). I was born in Stockton and lived in Ormesby until the age of 18 before going to university in London never to return permanently.
This weekend we are up to see my mum – who still lives in Ormesby. I thought it would be nice to have a quick catch up to try and meet some local cachers and pick their brains on what we should do in the area. Of course I will reciprocate with my view of London/West Essex caches.
The choice of location is driven by pure nostalgia for my childhood. Virtually every weekend my father used to take my brother and me to the Stewart Park to play football, look at the animals or come to the conservatory. I still have memories of the heat, the humidity and the smell of it. It was such a shame when it was demolished.
The event will run from 10 to at least 10.30 (possibly longer if anyone turns up!)
