Beautiful Land Between the Lakes is home to hundreds of geocaches. They’re along hiking trails, at lake overlooks, in shady cemeteries, and hidden in heritage sites. For the second year in a row you have a chance to find some caches and also participate in an official fall CITO event on National Public Lands Day.
Meet us at 10 A.M. on September 30th at the coordinates to sign in, say hi to all the other cachers, enter into a drawing for some fun stuff, pick up a couple of bags, and then head out at 10:30 AM. The event parking is near the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail and the North/South Trail. You can also collect trash along The Trace or Hwy 68, but be sure to wear bright clothes and keep an eye on traffic. Bring gloves and bug spray to keep everyone safe and un-bugged. At noon we will meet back at the original parking lot to sort our trash so that recyclables can be recycled.
This event is authorized by the Friends of LBL.
