The posted coordinates will take you to the parking area where the teams will select one vehicle to ride in. This is an almost any weather event. The only reason to cancel is if there is thunder/lightening in the area. If it does get cancelled, we will not make it up.
Before you can enter the cemetery, everyone must fill out and sign the posted waiver at the gate. Click on this Bellefontaine Cemetery waiver link, print out the waiver, fill it out and sign it. When you arrive at the gate, hand the waiver to the guard and proceed to the posted coordinates. If you just want to attend the event and not participate in the Grave Hop, you will still need to fill out and sign the waiver.
There will be 4 people per team. If you have a child that can walk, they will be counted as a team member. If you have your team selected, post a will attend with the names of your team mates. If you do not have a team, post a will attend and ask for a team and we will put you on one. Please do not attempt to sign up at the event without notice. We will have a limited number of packets, the teams who posted will attends will get a packet first. Each team will get one packet with all of the rules and needed information for the tasks.
Your team will consist of a driver, a photographer, a note taker, and a searcher. All pictures need to be on one camera or phone. You can use two devices in case one breaks, but we will only grade off of one device. All team members must be in each photo. If the picture is a close-up, then we will accept four different hands or feet as proof all members were there.
All members should carry a GPS or phone that can take, calculate, and project waypoints.
Since we will not be leaving the Cemetery, bring enough food and water for the duration.
The Cemetery will not be closed for this event. If there is a service that day, we will avoid that area. All Cemetery Etiquette rules must be followed at all times.
So post the names of your team mates as soon as possible and prepare for a great time.
