The Chapel was originally two fishing cottages which were donated to the Methodist people in 1812. The converted them into a chapel. There were another two cottages in front where the gates are and a courtyard in the middle. Eventually the land was purchased and the cottages knocked down. The school room was built in the early 1900s and the extension of the kitchen and vestry was added in 1987.
You are looking for a camouflaged tube about twice as long as a 35mm film pot. The cache only contains a logbook so you will need to bring your own pen. The town can be very busy particularly in the Summer and the road where the chapel is situated is narrow. There is a public car park about 100 yards from the chapel where you can park free for 30 minutes. Charges apply if you stay longer! Alternatively there is parking at the Quay (free to National Trust Members).
The cache is placed within the church grounds and permission to do has been obtained from Revd. Jenny Pathmarajah. She is often on the premises and knows where the cache is. I’m sure she will help if you get stuck!
