Geocache Description:

Village Sign North Tuddenham

North Tuddenham is a parish of scattered houses, lying in the centre of Norfolk, comprising of some 2238 acres and bordered to the South by the River Tud.

The Village Sign depicts the poet and hymnodist William Cowper, an avid anti-slavery campaigner, who was a frequent visitor to the parish.

The sign was carved by Harry Carter of Swaffham who, by the time of his death in 1983, had carved over 200 town and village signs.

The cache is near the village sign but not on it.

If anybody would like to expand this series please do. I would just ask that you let Smokeypugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers to avoid duplication.
