Geocache Description:

It's the fourth Sutherland Shire Geocaching Puzzle Solving night!

After the successful hosting of the previous event in May it's now time for another round.

Do you need to find out how to convert some weird code into coordinates? Are you wondering how certain puzzles work? Is a certain block of colours making your head spin?

Print out your puzzle, take your notebook (electronic or paper :-), charge your iPad and join me in the Sutherland RSL where like-minded and also utterly confused people talk to each other on how to solve these darn things!

Rules:

  • When you know how to solve it, give hints but no solutions. For example "Have you tried a ceasar shift" instead of "Take the next letter in the alphabet".
  • If more help is needed, give examples which are similar but don't use the same values as in the puzzle. For example "--- ... --- is SOS" instead of "The .---- ..... .---- is 151 in morse code".
  • Everybody solves their own puzzles, don't ask for solutions.
  • No exchange of solutions or coordinates.
  • No guarantees on anything as these darn puzzles are sometimes way too hard.

Meetup at the shared area of the Sutherland United Services Club (make sure you have ID or membership)

  • Thursday 28 September 2017, start at 19:00, finish around 21:30.
  • BYO puzzles.
  • Food and drinks are available at the bar.
  • Wifi available.
  • Parking available at the back. Public transport is close by (<200 meters)
  • No question is too stupid.

Did you know that NSW has a geocaching association? Geocaching NSW aims to enhance and improve the activity of geocaching and holds regular events where geocachers meet to enjoy their common interests. Visit the association website here.
