Geocache Description:

Come join fellow Geocachers in our regular CITO event....earn a souvenir!

When: Saturday September 30, 2017
NEW TIME! 3-4:30

We will meet in the parking lot across the street from our start point on the path, near the Panera Bread, at 3:00 PM to sign the log. We will then cross Waukegan Road as a group to start the clean-up. Parking coordinates are the listed coords for this event.

GONIL is an official participant in the Adopt-A-Road program in Lake County. The section we are responsible for is actually a bike path between Libertyville and Lake Bluff. The clean-up should take about 90 minutes (less if we have a lot of folks, more if only a few). Lake County has posted a sign along this section of bike path announcing our contribution to keeping their land (your land, our land) clean.

Bring gloves and your own trash picker-uppers. Garbage bags and safety vests will be provided by the county. If you have any 5-gallon buckets (like the orange ones from the local home improvement stores) bring them along; they are really handy for collecting trash and then putting it into the trash bags.

Also, during CITO weeks geocachers can earn a virtual souvenir for their profile pages by hosting and attending CITO events

Of course there are caches located along or near the bike path as well as others in the general vicinity so bring your GPSr, too.

There will be a dinner event at the Silo nearby from 5:30-7:30.
