SUKERMAGOSTO 2017

Tras  asistir al  GeoMeiga Cambados 2017 y llegar a Madrid, teníamos tanta morriña de nuestra tierra, que decimimos iniciar la quinta edición del Sukermagosto, id haciendo hueco en vuestras agendas.

Llega el otoño, llega el magosto… Fiesta que aprovechamos para celebrar nuestro aniversario como miembros de la familia Geocaching ya van 8 años llenos de experiencias, viajes, tesoros…pero sobre todo, personas.

Queremos celebrarlo con este evento para hablar de Geocaching, anécdotas, experiencias, camuflajes e intercambio de travels y geocoins, y dadas las fechas, y nuestra inevitable “morriña”, nos ha dado por mantener las tradiciones y repetir el magosto de años anteriores.

EL MAGOSTO

El magosto es una fiesta tradicional gallega (aunque no exclusiva de Galicia) que se celebra en torno al día de San Martiño (San Martín, el 11 de Noviembre), época también en la que se recoge la castaña. Se celebra desde tiempo inmemorial y tiene como objetivo agradecer la cosecha de castañas, ya que este fruto era básico en la dieta gallega hasta el descubrimiento de América y la llegada de la patata. No solo se disfruta de castañas, sino que también se prueba el vino nuevo obtenido tras la vendimia en septiembre y también los chorizos, ya que la matanza del cerdo también tiene lugar en estas fechas (por San Martiño proba o teu viño e mata o porquiño, por San Martin prueba tu vino y mata al cerdo).

La fiesta consiste en realizar una hoguera y, una vez hay brasas, se coloca sobre ellas un cilindro metálico con agujeros en su base, llamado tambor o, en algunas zonas, tixolo. Sobre este recipiente, u otro por el estilo, se extienden las castañas a las que previamente se les ha realizado un corte en un extremo para que no salten o exploten (aunque en Ourense también les gusta verlas explotar…). Una vez asadas se pelan y se comen. Es común tiznarse la cara con los restos de la hoguera, saltar las hogueras ya que trae suerte así como realizar diferentes juegos tradicionales, contar cuentos y cantar canciones populares.

El lugar

AREA RECREATIVA LA PANERA: La Panera es un área recreativa situada a pocos kilómetros de la Estación del Espinar, junto al río Moros. Es un lugar habilitado para el recreo y esparcimiento del visitante, donde éste puede disfrutar de la naturaleza y escapar de los humos de la ciudad; aunque no del humo de las barbacoas. La zona está equipada con piscinas, aseos, quioscos de bebidas, campo de fútbol, bancos y barbacoas. Recibe más de 3.500 visitantes cada fin de semana, y su gestión pertenece a la Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Segovia. La Comunidad de Madrid ha prohibido la realización de fuego al aire libre en todo su territorio durante todo el año. Es por ello que escogimos un área recreativa en Segovia que está habilitada para hacer fuego y asar castañas, eso sí, sujeto a pago de entrada lo que permite disfrutar de sus instalaciones mientras estén operativas.

Estas son las tarifas de acceso:

Turismos: 6 €, independiente del número de personas en su interior

Autobuses: 30/40 €

Bicicletas/peatones: 1,50 €

Y estos son los servicios a los que da derecho: Piscinas adultos e infantil (agua del río pero cloradas) En octubre ya no está disponible socorrista. Barbacoas con parrillas* (habilitadas según el riesgo de incendios), Césped, Duchas, Aseos, Kioscos de bebidas, Campo de fútbol, Bancos... Las instalaciones suelen cerrarse cuando termina el buen tiempo, pero no hay una fecha establecida. A partir de ese momento sólo se pueden utilizar las barbacoas y el campo de fútbol, lo demás se cierra y dejan de cobrar por el acceso al área.

EL EVENTO

Como en ocasiones anteriores se trata de una reunión distendida para hablar y conocernos. Dado el horario del evento, si alguien desea comer, deberá traer su propia comida y bebida, nosotros nos encargaremos de las castañas para que podáis hacer una pequeña degustación, y (si alguno es muy fan de las castañas puede traer y aportar al evento.)

   Lugar: Área recreativa La Panera, El Espinar, Segovia 

Hora: 13.00h

-De 13:00 a 13.30 horas presentación y firma libro de registro. Entrega de acreditaciones a los que tengan el will Attend realizado antes del día 08 de noviembre.

 Aquellos que tengan travel Bugs y Geocoins para intercambiar podrán depositarlos al comienzo del evento y quien desee llevarse alguno podrá recogerlos al finalizar. Mientras, quedarán en exposición.

-De 13:30 a 15:00 horas charla distendida sobre geocaching mientras cada uno come lo que haya traído.

-15:00 a 15:30 horas pequeña degustación de castañas.

-De 15:30 a 16:00 horas despedida y retirada de travels y geocoins.

THE MAGOSTO

The magosto is a traditional Galician fiesta (although not exclusive of Galicia) that is celebrated around the day of San Martiño (San Martín, November 11.) Time also in which the chestnut is collected. It is celebrated since time immemorial and aims to thank the chestnut harvest, since this fruit was basic in the Galician diet until the discovery of America and the arrival of the potato. Not only is there chestnuts, but also the new wine obtained after the harvest in September and the sausages from the slaughter of the pig that also takes place around these dates (by San Martin taste your wine and kill the pig.)

The party consists of making a bonfire and, once there are embers, a metallic cylinder is placed on them with holes in its base, called drum or, in some areas, thixolo. In this container, or another of the style, the chestnuts are placed. They have previously been cut at one end so they do not jump or explode (although in Ourense they also like to see them explode ...) Once roasted they are peeled and eaten. It is common to blacken the face with the remains of the bonfire and to jump the bonfires as it brings luck. Also it is common to play different traditional, to tell stories and to sing popular songs.

THE PLACE

AREA RECREATIVA LA PANERA: 

The Panera is a recreational area located a few kilometers from the Espinar Station, next to the Moros River. It is a place for recreation and enjoyment of the visitor. Where he can enjoy nature and escape from the smoke of the city but not the smoke of the barbecues. The area is equipped with swimming pools, toilets, drink kiosks, soccer field, benches and barbecues. It receives more than 3,500 visitors every weekend, and its management belongs to the Community of Villa and Land of Segovia. The Community of Madrid has prohibited the making of fire in the open air throughout its territory throughout the year. That is why we chose a recreational area in Segovia that is qualified to make fire and roasting chestnuts but subject to payment to enter which allows us enjoy their facilities while they are operative.

These are the access fees:

-Cars: € 6, regardless of the number of people inside

-Buses: 30/40 €

-Bicycles / pedestrians: € 1.50

And these are the services: 

-Adult and children's pools (river water but chlorinated). In October there is no lifeguard available. 

-Barbecues with grills * (fire rated), Lawns, Showers, Toilets, Drink kiosks, Soccer field, benches ... Facilities are usually closed at the end of the summer weather, but there is no set date. From then 

only the barbecues and the soccer field can be used, the rest is closed and they stop charging for the access to the area.

THE EVENT

As in previous occasions it is a relaxed meeting to talk and get to know each other. Given the schedule of the event, if someone wants to eat, you must bring your own food and drink. We will take care of the chestnuts so you can do a small tasting. If you are a true fan of the chestnuts you can bring more to the event.

Time: 1:00 p.m.

-From 13:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. presentation and signing of the signature book. Accreditations will be given to those who have the "will Attend" returned before November 08.

Those who have travel Bugs and Geocoins to exchange can deposit them at the beginning of the event and anyone who wants to take one can pick them up at the end. Meanwhile, they will be on display.

-From 13:30-15:00 talks on geocaching while everyone eats what they have brought.

-15:00 to 15:30 tasting of chestnuts.

-From 15:30 to 16:00 hours farewell and return of travels and geocoins.
