Geocache Description:

Litter not only blights the environment & makes areas look untidy, it also affects natural habitats & wildlife.

Join us during CITO week (23rd September - 1st October) as we clean up the area around Oakies Park and the C2C (Coast to Coast) cycle track in Stanley.

Stanley CITO - Tuesday 26th September 5.30pm until 6.30pm

Well behaved Geohounds are welcome along with Geokids.

Litter pickers / gloves and binbags will all be provided courtesy of Sustrans and Durham County Council.

Please bring along a pair of gardening gloves if you have them. It may also be useful to bring along a drink and a snack for yourself.

Please come along dressed for the weather with warm / waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear.

There are lots of parking spaces next to Oakies Park and in the surrounding streets. Please park sensibly and considerately of local residents.

This event will make a huge difference to the local area and really make the place nicer for people to cycle, walk and geocache in!
