Geocache Description:

Celebrate International Geocaching Day with a plesant afternoon tea by Salt Pan Creek.

It's on again, our yearly afternoon tea, but this time it's beside a creek rather than the bay. The previous two years events were held by Botany Bay and were rather cold and windy and even though warm beverages were consumed, I thought we'd try another option this time round. So this year we'll be meeting in Riverwood.

Date: Saturday 19th August 2016
Time: 14:00 - 15:30
Group Photo: 15:00
Location: Salt Pan Creek Wetlands, Riverwood
Celebrating: International Geocaching Day 2017
Weather: There are shelters so we should be ok. Think positive thoughts!
Bring: Treats to share, your own mug

The park has toilets, picnic tables, BBQs, playgrounds and a skate park (if you need a little more in the thrills department). Parking is available on site (see waypoint), but if for some reason it's a busy afternoon, there is parking across the road at the Morris Iemma Sports Complex. Alternatley use public transport (train to Riverwood station and then walk to the park or catch the 940 or 945 bus).

To celebrate the event I'll bring some (nearly good for you) baked treats and would encourage others to bring something similarly festive to share. Please post your will attend so I know how much to bake! Bring your own mugs/cups so we can have tea and coffee with our edible goodies. I'll bring regular tea and a few tea options, but if you have anything more interesting to try, do bring it along. For coffee addicts, I'm sure you'll come up with something.

Feel free to drop trackables in the lead up to the event as we'll have a swap and discovery area.

And come visit the St George and Surrounds Facebook Group for all the local caching news.
