Work is being done to make this park a conservancy after it fell into a state of decay with vagrants living here and the municipality not maintaining it adequately. It will be called the Gardens Conservancy and it runs from behind Norwood Mall from the listed coordinates (next to Hamlin Street) to African Street. The entire park was fenced off in 2015 in preparation for major clean ups to improve it. The park has been locked for over a year as it is slowly cleaned up. I have liaised with the Residents Association so that us geocachers can also help out and make this project a success. Four CITOs were held here last year and now I have finally scheduled the next one!
