Geocache Description:

An Introduction to Geocaching

Presented by Peter McGrath (bucketeer) and Glenelg Libraries

This event is primarily geared toward the introduction and explaination of the game of Geocaching to the beginner or new cacher, but all are welcome to attend. The following topics will be covered as well as many more followed by a question and answer session:

  • What is Geocaching?
  • How is the game played?
  • What equipment is needed?
  • What are trackables and what to do with them

We hope that we can have a lively discussion about this great game that we play. As stated we welcome those new to the sport, those just getting started and those that have been playing for a while. The time will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Portland Public Library.

Are you a newbie cacher attending your first event? If you enjoy geocaching and wish to take your membership further, you will be eligible for 1 month free upgrade to a premium membership. See me at the event for the details.
