SideTracked - Twickenham Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Please note that once the cache has been archived, this can not be undone. This is explained in the Help Center - http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70

You will need to create a new listing, put it back in for review and as long as it meets today's guidelines and no other caches have been published in the area causing a proximity problem, then it will be published.

Regards

About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About Twickenham Station

Below is an image of what the station used to look like before the current redevelopment.

The first version of Twickenham Station opened on the 22nd of August 1848. That station was built in a neo-gothic architectural style.

Almost a hundred years later, Southern Railway wanted to rebuild the station, but their works were interrupted by World War 2.

In March 1954, a three platform station came into use, like the one we can see now.

In February 1996, South West Trains operated its first service which ran from Twickenham to London Waterloo. This was the first scheduled privatised train to operate in 48 years.

This cache is rated 3 difficulty because it is a very muggle heavy area. Also, it might be quite hard to find…
