Rád bych vás přivedl na místo, které jsem častokrát periferně zaznamenal, když jsem přejížděl nedaleký železniční přejezd. Když jsem se zajímal, co to na té "trojnožce" stojí, tak mnoho místních o tomto místě nevědělo. Pak jsem se ovšem shodou okolností seznámil s autorkou celé této myšlenky a dohodli se na založení cache pro větší publicitu tohoto místa.
Stromokruh Evropy o průměru 48 m najdete na levém břehu řeky Jihlavy mezi Rénou a Stříbským mlýnem, v meandru za loděnicí v místě zvaném Zolcary. Tvoří ho 27 národních stromů zastupujících 27 členských států Evropské unie. I bez požehnání evropských úředníků tu v době českého předsednictví EU vznikl základ opravdové „eurozóny“, odpočinkového místa pro setkávání.
Stromokruh Evropy byl vysazen 29. března 2009 jedná se o studentský nápad, jehož realizace byla původně plánována do Bruselu nebo Prahy. Nápad vyzrál a moudře si zvolil místo, kde realizátoři sami žijí, tedy Ivančice. Každý z 27 stromů má svoji partnerskou rodinu, která sponzorovala vysazení stromu.
Kovaná zvonička ve tvaru srdce vznikla v srpnu 2009. Vytvořili ji účastníci čtyřdenního kurzu Kovářská Epopej, který probíhal v prostorách Stříbského mlýna.
V lednu 2011 někdo podřezal všech 27 stromků tvořících Stromokruh Evropy. V té době byly stromky cca dvoumetrové. V dubnu 2011 byly za podpory partnerských rodin tyto stromy vysázeny znova.

I would like to take you to a place that I would often see while driving across the nearby railroad crossing. But once I started wondering what this "strange tripod" that’s standing there actually is, many locals surprisingly did not know anything about this place. But then, by coincidence, I met the author of this whole idea and she agreed to create a cache to get more publicity for this place.
Europian’s Tree-Circle is 48 meters in diameter and can be found on the left bank of the Jihlava river between the Rena hill and the Stříbský Mlýn area, in the meander behind the dock located in Zolcary. It consists of 27 national trees representing the 27 member states of the European Union. It was built to become a base of the true “Eurozone” during the time of Czech presidency of EU Council (1H/2009), even without the blessing of European officials in Brussels. It was meant to be a place suitable for meetings and relaxation.
Europe's Tree-Circle was planted on March 29, 2009. This project was born during the author’s student years and its implementation had been originally planned for Brussels or Prague. The whole idea matured and wisely chose the place where its developers live – a small town called Ivančice. Each of the 27 trees have its partner family who sponsored the planting of the tree.
The forged heart-shaped bell was created by participants of the four-day blacksmithing craft course “Kovářská Epopej”, which took place at the nearby area of Stříbský mlýn in August 2009.
In January 2011, someone cut all 27 trees that were forming the European's Tree-Circle. At that time, the trees were about two meters tall. In April 2011, these trees were replanted with the support of their partner families.
I will be pleased if foreign visitors (from EU of course ) add photo with its national tree .
