R's M P Geocache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

LuxGirl1969: The City of Taneytown removed both bridges that were originally along the paved path the encircled the pond when they did the renovations to the park in Summer 2021.

The number of bridges crossed was one of my questions in the geocache riddle.

Because of various reasons, I do not have adequate time to redo the puzzle.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to RMP's geocache, a mystery geocache placed by LuxGirl1969.

This is a family-fun geocache that has two stages: First, which is Virtual (here on this page) and Final (where the geocache is hidden.)

Please complete this worksheet in order to obtain the coordinates for the Final Stage.

You need to spend time at Robert's Mill Park in Taneytown, MD, in order to complete the worksheet.

You will be able to formulate your answers by navigating the asphalt path that encircles the pond. The park is kid-friendly, pet-friendly, wheel-friendly! It’s fun for the whole family!

Please be advised that when you are finished gathering the necessary information, you will have to travel a short distance (using your geomobile) to find the actual geocache container and log.

Please plan accordingly.

This is probably not a “cache and dash.”

Here is your worksheet. Please answer the following questions.

How many benches line the perimeter of the pond? Please record that number here: (Answer #1)

How many bridges do you cross as you travel the perimeter of the pond? Please record that number here: (Answer #2)

Add up the number from Answer 1 and Answer 2 and record that number here: _____ Let's call that Number X. Now add Number X to 723. You now have the missing number to fill this in for the North coordinate: N39 39 ___ ___ ___. Now add Number X to 624. You now have the missing number to fill this in for the West coordinate: W 077 9 ___ ___ ___. The numbers in the coordinates have been updated as of May 19, 2020, with help from the last two cachers.
