Geocache Description:

This cache is not far from Forest Row beside the old East Grinstead to Tunbridge Wells railway line.

This line was closed in the 1960s and is now part of Sustrans National Cycle Network. From near to the Cache you may glimpse Weir Wood reservoir with lots of sailing activity at weekends. Also to the South can be seen the Ruins of Brambletye house. The name of the cache is taken from the type of trees nearby and also the person who made this walk or cycle ride possible back in the 1960s!! Suggested parking is In Forest Row about 1.5Km (TQ 424352, 51° 05.9624' N 0° 02.0184' E ) or on Herontye Drive in East Grinstead about 2.5Km (TQ 401376 51° 07.2724' N 0° 00.0610' E ) Oct 2023 I have moved the cache as the original stump has now rotted away!
