Remote cache in Pinedale's backyard!
This cache is in a wonderful spot between Soda Lake and Freemont. This spot was one of the first places I decided I wanted to find when I moved here. I could see it from the road above Fremont. Access is more difficult prior to May 1 as the area around Soda lake is closed for wintering Elk. Use caution in the fall as there will be hunters. In the winter if you access from the lake side you will be better served using snowshoes than skis for the last .5 miles. You can get close to here by boat, 4 x 4 , mountain bike, or hiking. The last mile or 2 will be on foot regardless of how you approach. It is a great spot for a picnic. Enjoy the view.
