Le vrai Brexit, c'était il y a 450 000 ans !!!.
Famille et petits enfants résidants en Angleterre, nous sommes contraint plusieurs fois par an d'effectuer des traversées en Ferry ... Qu'il est loin le temps ou la G.B et la France ne faisaient qu'un !!!
Dire que tout cela est une histoire d'eau....
Pour ce Brexit-là, il n'y a eu aucun référendum...
L'histoire remonte à 500 000 ans. La grande Bretagne ne faisait alors qu'un avec le reste de l'Europe. Puis elle s'est détachée.
C'est le scénario de cet étonnant "Brexit géologique" qui s'est produit il y a environ 450 000 ans, qu'une équipe internationale de géologues vient de publier dans la revue scientifique "Nature Communications"
Au départ, ce que l'on nomme la Manche n'était qu'un pan de terre parsemé de multiples rivières.
Cette région de la France était recouverte par la steppe tandis que plus au Nord, d'Utrech (Pays-Bas) aux iles Britanniques, la banquise tapissait tout. Puis celle-ci s'est mise à fondre, formant un lac qui a fini par se déverser vers le sud avec fracas par-dessus une ligne de crête rocheuse. "Cette chute d'eau d'environ 32 km de largeur et tombant de 100 mètres de hauteur à érodé la crête du barrage, provoquant une gigantesque inondation qui à creusé la Manche", explique Alain Trentesaux, professeur au laboratoire d'océanologie et de géosciences de l'université de Lille et coauteur de l'étude.
La trace de ces chutes dantesques découverte à 100 mètres de profondeur sous la forme de grands trous qu'on appelle des marmites des géants, a permis aux chercheurs de reconstituer l'histoire de cette séparation.
Sept d'entre elles ont été repérées "à peu près alignées", écrivent les scientifiques, "entre les ports de Calais et de Douvres".(Elles ne sont pas très loin du tunnel sous la Manche). La détection de ces piscines sous-marines géantes remonte aux années 1970 précise la paléoclimatologue Brigitte Van Vliet-Lanoe également cosignataire de l'étude...
Mouvement des plaques terrestres...
Selon la scientifique, le détroit situé à la frontière entre la Manche et la Mer du Nord, s'ouvre par intermittence depuis 55 Millions d'Années, en raison du mouvement des plaques terrestres.
Après la naissance de ces chutes gigantesques, il s'est à nouveau refermé.
Il y a 200 000 ans, l'homme de Néandertal a pu ainsi passer coté Anglais à pied sec, mais pour l'homme de Cromagnon, il y a 20 000 ans, le passage était à nouveau envahi par les eaux et il ne pouvait le franchir que l'hiver quand tout était gelé, tout comme les mammouths ou les rennes.
Ceci est prouvé par les pêcheurs qui de nos jours remontent dans leurs filets des dents de mammouth...
Comme quoi le Brexit n'a rien d'irréversible !!!
Aujourd'hui, les traversées ne peuvent s'effectuer qu'en ferry, ou en train par le tunnel sous la Manche...
