Geocache Description:

This place can be busy on the weekends, so be discrete when you make your move for the cache

***All the fires in the area and it still has not burned***

A little history on this cache... it was placed by Big Steve (samm) who has not logged onto the geocaching site since Sunday, January 19, 2003 on April 18, 2001 13 months after the signal was unscrambled and seven months after Jeremy Irish took over all of the geocaching site which could make it one of the oldest caches in the Santa Clarita Valley, it is in it's original container, and was Approved By: iryshe which is the admin username of Jeremy Irish. On April 12,2004 I adopted this cache along with all the other Big Steve caches due to the need of maintenance and the lack of an active owner.

***NOTE

This was the first cache I ever went to on 3/12/2002 so it was cool to adopt this cache.

Replaced today 01/15/2007 cache is in good condition, I raised the terrain to a 3.***

This cache is located on a shaded well marked trail there are a few tuff spots but it is passable and quite beautiful it is not typical for this range of mountains there is granite everywhere including the trail and oaks are abundant. This is just a hiking trail sorry but bikes are not allowed.

Big Bad Trucker

****I have moved the container it is no longer at the base of the live tree at the end of the fallen tree it is now in a crack in the fallen tree about 25 feet up a much easier to get to compared to where it used to be.****

***I left the original description below just note the above note***

This one has some clues to follow, it is a great trail in a really nice area, the place is covered with poision oak so be prepared, wear some decent shoes that wont be slippery when they get wet, and take your time, there are some areas that if you move to quick could be bad for your bones, anyway here we go: Hike to the coordinates and find SUZY, put your left knee on the Z, what do you see ? Pretty isnt it! If you want to go further, go ahead, it's a wonderful hike, Or turn back around and watch OVER HEAD, when a huge dead tree covers your view, stop and look left, what's in your view, up a short 50' scramble, you will find Cache #6 out in plain sight, look behind the live tree at the end of the dead, that's right, the one with the bend, careful now or you will find that poision oak will be on your mind. The usual stuff is inside plus the goodies. Have fun, Big Steve
