Geocache Description:

Our team of 12 professionals from Australia, Ireland, India, United States, Canada, Hungary, Malaysia, China and Germany have spent 1 month in Arica to do pro-bono consulting for various local organisations. We enjoyed our stay in Arica so much and wanted to leave our marks and bring people to this beautiful place.

About the cache:

The cache is placed in a very nice location called “Humedal de Lluta” (where the river Lluta ends) with a fascinating flora and fauna. We lived close by this place and enjoyed visiting it. We hope to get more people visiting this place, as you have the opportunity to log a cache and see a beautiful place.

As it is close to the water, you might be attacked by some mosquitos.

About CSC:

CSC stands for Corporate Service Corps and is a program that brings professionals from all over the world to developing countries. We have been the 8th team coming to Chile. The 12 members of our team have been working in 4 sub teams with Corporación de Desarrollo de Arica y Parinacota (CORDAP), Ilustre Municipalidad de Arica (IMA), Fundación para la Superación de la Pobreza (FSP) and Junta Nacional de Auxilio Escolar y Beca (JUNAEB).

We have really enjoyed this experience and had a once in a lifetime experience here in Arica. Coming together and working together, while having so many different cultural backgrounds, was a tremendous experience.

If you want to know more about our experience, please visit our team blog: https://cscchile8.wordpress.com/

Please tell us your story in the log. Let us know what has brought you to Arica.
