Geocache Description:

A Letterbox Hybrid that is hidden at the posted coordinates. I recommend you take the spoiler pictures with you because GPS signal is iffy and there is no phone service at GZ. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!

Lothlórien, also known as Laurelindórinanm, or Lórien in the shorter form, is the "land of the valley of the singing gold." It was a golden wood that was established as an elven kingdom and refuge by Celeborn and Galadriel. The latter used the power of the eleven ring Nenya to protect it from the forces of Sauron.

Lothlórien was famous for it's Mallorn trees which have silver trunks and golden leaves.

Lothlorien is hidden in heavy tree cover, which makes the GPS signal very poor. For this reason, following these directions may be as helpful as your GPS.

From the trailhead go north and east up the well trodden trail. Your will travel 1/2 mile to the letterbox. You will go down through a small drainage and back up. When the trail drops down to a small intermittent stream (see waypoint), leave the trail and go west up the hill 45 feet. Your are looking for a 3x3 foot boulder with a flat rock at it's base.

This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!
