Geocache Description:

Cache container is large enough to take small swaps and travel bugs. In spring please be aware that there are daffodils planted around the village sign. Cache is placed near water so take care with junior cachers and dogs please.

As you sit on the seat, the building opposite used to be a coaching inn on the Turnpike between Kings Lynn and Norwich. Further behind that there used to be a large maltings supplied with raw materiels brought up the river Nar by barge from Kings Lynn as well as by road on cart and horse. A few hundred yards down the road to your right on the way to Pentney was the Narborough and Pentney railway station. The line ran from Kings Lynn with branches into the maltings as well as on to Dereham. Narborough boasted two water mills, one in the village to grind corn and one a mile down river which ground bones to make fertiliser.

The cache can be found at N52 41.ABC  E000 34.DEF
