Geocache Description:

This is a small cache.  Please bring a pen and tweezers may be handy.

Burnham Overy Staithe is a small village on the Wash.  It has a small creek with marshes between it and the sea.  It is beleived that Admiral Nelson, who was born nearby in Burnham Thorpe, learnt torow and sail here.

There is a ferry from the creek to the Nature Reserve known as Scolt Head.  It is also possible to walk down to the beach and along through the pines to Holkham.

Historically Burnham Overy  used to be the port for the surrounding Burnhams.
