Eine Hymne auf Spam? Ja, das gibt es tatsächlich!
Hach, was habe ich gelacht, als ich zum ersten Mal den berühmten Sketch von Monty Python aus dem Jahr 1970 sah und dabei folgende Zeilen hörte:
Spam, Spam, Spam, lovely Spam
Wonderful Spam, Lovely Spam.
Spam, Spam, Spam, magnificent Spam,
Superlative Spam.
Spam, Spam, Spam, wonderous Spam,
Surgical Spam, splendiferous Spam.
Spam, Spam, Spam, Spaaam!
Natürlich dachten die Jungs von Monty Python damals nicht an unerwünschte Massenmails, sondern es ging lediglich um gewürzten Schinken, ein grauenhaft schmeckendes (und böse Zungen würden sagen damit typisches) Nahrungsmittel aus England, dort "Spiced Ham" oder gekürzt eben "Spam" genannt.
Aber die Briten mögen das Zeugs seit Urzeiten, riefen doch schon König Artus' Ritter der Tafelrunde (wenigstens in der Version von Monty Python) fröhlich aus "We dine well here in Camelot. We eat ham and jam and spam a lot"
Heutzutage denkt zumindest in unseren Breitengraden bei Spam wohl kaum jemand an Dosenfleisch, sondern an lästige Mails, in denen etwa schnelle Gewinne versprochen, eine namhafte Erbschaft eines bislang unbekannten und nach Nigeria ausgewanderten Grossonkels angekündigt oder Pillen aus Ostapotheken angepriesen werden.
Nun, egal ob ich den gewürzten Schinken auf dem Teller oder in meinem elektronischen Briefkasten habe. Ich mag beides nicht.
Spam, die wohl sinnloseste Verwendung von Fleisch oder Buchstaben! Oder doch nicht? Könnte zumindest die Buchstabenversion vielleicht doch zu etwas nütze sein? Etwa um einen Cache zu finden? Finde es anhand der folgenden Spamnachricht, die vor wenigen Tagen in meiner Mailbox gelandet ist, raus:
