War Memorial #232 ~ Barrington
Barrington war memorial is on the green outside the parish church of All Saints and takes the form of a three stepped octagonal base surmounted by an octagonal plinth with a tapered octagonal shaft attached to a crucifix cross. The inscriptions are on the sides of the plinth. Details for the memorial can be found in the Cambridge Independent Press from 21st January 1921. There are 10 names for World War 1 and 5 names for World War 2 plus one name for Belize 1983. A further memorial exists inside the church of All Saints and takes the form of a wooden with inscriptions for World War 1 in black and red lettering, under this an additional plaque made from wood with gold lettering naming those who gave their lives in World War 2.
