Geocache Description:

The Scout Abouts are at it again! Come join us for a leisurely stroll on the New Boston rail trail on Saturday February 25th at 2 pm. We will meet at the parking area on Gregg Mill Rd.

Winter is a wonderful time for a walk along the rail trail. A blanket of white, the cool crisp air, and the frozen beauty of the nearby Piscataquog River make the rail trail a magical walk in the woods. We will stroll southwest along the rail trail and then back, plan on 2 hours for the stroll. The rail trail conditions will more than likely be icy so microspikes are recommended. Who knows, maybe we'll be rewarded with a nice snowstorm prior to the event and we may get to drag those snowshoes or nordic skis out of the shed. Whatever the conditions are we'll have a great time in the outdoors enjoying nature and friends. We look forward to a great afternoon so dress warm and come and join us!
