6 Mühle über Elounda
Wer von Elounda über Plaka und Chavgas wieder zurück nach Elounda fährt, wird mit einer grandiosen Aussicht über die Mirabellobucht belohnt. Unmittelbar hinter Chavgas erhält man einen Ausblick in die darunter liegende Schlucht.
Etwas später kommt man an die Abzweigung, die wieder nach Elounda zurück führt.
Auf dem kurzen Fussweg vom Parking zu den 6 Mühlen findet man viele Gewürzsträucher, wie z.B. Salbei, Thymian und Oregano. Je nach Jahreszeit, wird man von diesen herrlichen Düften begleitet. Von den Mühlen aus hat man eine weite Sicht über die Elounda-Lagune.
6 mills over Elounda
If you drive from Elounda via Plaka and Chavgas back to Elounda, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the Mirabellobay. Immediately behind Chavgas you get a view into the underlying gorge.
A little later you reach a road junction which leads back to Elounda.
On the short walk from the parking to the 6 mills, you will find many spices, sage, thyme and oregano. Depending on the season, you will be accompanied by these wonderful fragrances. From the mills you have a wide view over the Elounda lagoon.
