College Circuit 14
This is a circular walk consisting of 15 caches plus two Church Micros centred around the area of Hurstpierpoint College. Hurstpierpoint College is an independent school just outside the village. It was founded in 1849 by Thomas Woodard from Henfield, who also founded Ardingly College and Lancing College. You can see the College Chapel at many points round the walk.
The circuit is mostly on footpaths and bridlepaths, but also has a section on pavement in the village. The caches are mostly micros and small boxes and pots, though there are some alternative shapes as well, and a couple are large enough to take Trackables. Please bring a pencil to sign the log and a pair of tweezers might be useful too. Locally available tools may be useful sometimes. The path is almost bound to be muddy somewhere, so wear suitable boots. Please return the caches to their proper locations and screw the tops back on the pots to keep out the damp.
The full walk takes about 2-3 hours, but you can start anywhere, and it is easy to pick up just a few caches if you are short of time. You can also do a northern circuit and southern circuit separately. There are other caches in the village to find as well if you have time. The best places to park are either in the Hurstpierpoint Village car park in Trinity Road, or on Chalkers Lane near the College. It is best to avoid this parking area during school drop off and collection times as the road gets very busy.
