Panazol (Panasòu en occitan) est la 3e ville du département de la Haute-Vienne par sa population après Limoges et Saint-Junien avec plus de 10 000 habitants. C’est une commune souvent qualifiée de « ville-dortoir » avec ses logements répartis en lotissements récents, essentiellement des années 1980 à 2000.
Une priorité aux espaces verts a également été donnée depuis la fin du XXe siècle. 55% du territoire de la Ville sont classés en espaces agricoles, forestiers ou naturels… La ville sait depuis longtemps l’importance de préserver son cadre de vie. Une politique massive d’acquisitions forestières a ainsi été mise en place. L’Office national des forêts est le partenaire de choix dans la gestion de ces espaces boisés.
Le parc de La Beausserie
Le parc de la Beausserie, au cœur duquel se trouve cette cache, s’étend sur 7 hectares dédiés à la promenade et aux jeux en plein centre ville. Il était au XIXème siècle le parc paysager du château, actuellement mairie de la Ville. Il présente une belle composition de grandes prairies et de bosquets de hauts arbres, une rivière anglaise et un étang. Plusieurs spécimens méritent le titre d'Arbre Remarquable. Panazol, cité jardin : ce n’est pas simplement un slogan, c’est une réalité !

This geocache is a part of the " HV tour, 200 municipalities of the Haute-Vienne " (an idea from AirV).
Panazol (Panasòu in Occitan) is the 3rd city of the department of Haute-Vienne by his population after Limoges and Saint Junien with more than 10 000 inhabitants. It is a municipality often qualified as "bedroom town" with its housing distributed in recent lots, essentially 1980s to 2000s.
A priority is givent to the green spaces since the end of the XXth century. 55 % of the territory of the City are classified in agricultural, forest or natural spaces … The city knows for a long time the importance to protect its living environment. A massive politics of forest acquisitions was organized so. The Forests National Office is the partner in the management of these wooded spaces.
The park of La Beausserie
The park of Beausserie, at the heart of which is this geocache, extends over 7 hectares dedicated to the walk and to the games in full city center. It was in the XIXth century the landscaped garden of the castle, at present the city hall. He presents a beautiful composition of big meadows and groves of high trees, an English river and a pond. Several specimens deserve the title of Remarkable Tree. Panazol, city-garden: it is not simply a slogan, it is a reality!
