Voici une série de 23 caches de bienvenue "Welcome" sur le territoire du Pays de Montmédy. Suivez-moi et découvrez l'histoire de chacune de ces communes !

Villécloye, la cathédrale de verdure
Villécloye vous invite à la détente et au recueillement. De sa « cathédrale de verdure » dédiée à Sainte-Ernelle, faite d’arbres religieusement alignés encadrant une fontaine aux vertus miraculeuses, profitez du panorama offert sur la vallée de la Chiers.
Promenez-vous dans son verger conservatoire et observez la faune et la flore méridionales de sa pelouse calcaire reconnue « espace naturel sensible » et classée Natura 2000. Mais attention, respectez ce coin de nature fragile et ne dérangez pas son troupeau de brebis qui participe à son entretien et son équilibre.
Parcourez le village pour y dénicher quelques vestiges architecturaux de son passé comme une superbe porte piétonne Renaissance et une porte de 1745 en planches de chêne cloutées.
Villecloye is all about rest and relaxation. At its “green cathedral” dedicated to Sainte Ernelle, where the trees are aligned systematically around a fountain that has miraculous properties, pause a moment and drink in the panorama over the Chiers valley.
Walk through its heritage orchard and enjoy the southern flora and fauna typical of this chalk grassland, recognised as a site of special interest and classified as part of Natura 2000. But be gentle with this fragile natural corner and don’t disturb the flock of sheep as they’re busy looking after it!
Stroll through the village to spot the architectural gems such as a superb Renaissance doorway and a door from 1745 made of nailed oak planks.
