Look out for the footpath sign on the right of the track. Very muddy along here when cache placed. When you get within 25 metres of gz do not take the first small path on the right, but take the next one 15 metres further on and you should be within 10 metres of cache location.
I adopted this series from geoff&steph on October 4th 2018 - I had previously walked this and had a great time finding the caches with the lovely Norfolk12 who sadly is no longer with us and so wanted to keep the series going. The text below is exactly as per the original listing.
Woods Walk is our fifth series and is named after Stephs maiden name and the five woods which are incorporated in the walk, Wetleys wood, Pentmore wood, Buttockspire wood, Whitfield wood and Three Parks wood. There are 47 caches all placed to be found but of varying difficulty and a wide variety of cache types. The terrain is generally very flat with just a few stiles, in very pleasant countryside,but can be muddy in places during the winter months. The walk can be done as follows: Top loop--26 caches over 6K, Bottom loop--28 caches over 6k, Large loop--41 caches over 10k, Both loops--47 caches over12k. We did not encounter any cattle at all when placing the caches which was a pleasant change, but there was lots of bird life. Many thanks to The Forestry Commission for their permission to place this series. The local farmer who's land you will cross from 15-36 is also aware what you are doing, but please extend the usual courtesy to both land and livestock.
