Esta ponte foi construída para servir a passagem para o cultivo desses terrenos. E na minha infância era a referência de encontro para onde íamos nadar e mergulhar.
Para as gerações nascidas antes dos anos 90 foi lá que os locais aprenderam a nadar e após isso secavam-se no telhado do moínho que está a nordeste e visivel da ponte. Ainda é possivel subir ao telhado do moinho apoiando-se na mó que se encontra ao lado da porta.
A Sul encontra-se o parque de jogos local e nas suas traseira prepara-se a construção de um parque de lazer.
Percorrendo a margem do rio, 50 metros abaixo encontra-se o cruzamento entre os dois rios que forma o rio que irá desaguar ao Antuã, havendo disputa no nome deste afluente, dizendo uns que se trata do rio Insua, outros que é o próprio Antuã.

To the south lies the local game park and at the rear it is projected the construction of a leisure park. </ P>
Going along the river bank, 50 meters below you will find the intersection between the two rivers that form the river that will flow to the Antuã, there being a dispute in the name of this tributary, telling some that this is called river Insua, others that it is the Antuã himself. </ P>
