Les courants, peu profonds mais forts, charient depuis les orignines de la Dore et de la Dogne dans le massif central, des morceaux de roches arrachés aux berges. Ces éclats de roches arrondis, usés par leurs transport millénaire, ont fini par devenir de beaux galets multicolores, chatoyants dans l'eau au soleil:
Blanc étincelant: provenance de filons de quartz laiteux du Puy de Sancy.
Noir de jais: issus des coulées de basalte des volcans d'Auvergne.
Gris bleuâtre, feuiletés : nés dans le micaschistes de la Xaintrie.
Rouge, Grenus, mouchetés de cristaux blancs, noirs ou scintillants de mica, quartz et feldspath : originaires des granites et des porphyres anciens du socles Limousin.
Avec un peu de chance vous pourrez trouver des roches rares comme : la serpentine verte et le jaspe doré du Ségala

The currents, shallow but strong, charred from the ores of the Dore and the Dogne in the Massif Central, pieces of rocks torn from the banks. These bursts of rounded rocks, worn away by their millenary transport, have finally become beautiful multicolored pebbles, shimmering in the water in the sun:
White sparkling: origin of milky quartz veins of Puy de Sancy.
Black: from the basalt flows of the Auvergne volcanoes.
Bluish gray, fires: born in the micachist of the Xaintrie.
Red, Grenus, speckled with white, black or scintillating crystals of mica, quartz and feldspar: originating from the old granites and porphyries of the Limousin socles.
With a little luck you can find rare rocks like: the green serpentine and the golden jasper of Ségala.
