Geocache Description:

Another easy find on the North Al GeoTour. A chance to visit another historic  North Alabama site of interest one of several covered bridges in the area

Built in 1935, this is one of the highest covered bridges in the nation, standing at 70 feet above the Black Warrior River. It is also one of three which still exist in Blount County, Alabama's Covered Bridge Capital and home of the Covered Bridge Festival each fall. There may be muggles present so stealth is advised but you should have no problem retrieving and replacing the cache.

Do not park on the highway to retrieve the cache there is a parking area about 500’ south with an easy walk to the cache

Don’t forget to down load your geo trail passport and add  the number written on the log and bottom of the cache for your point total. If you don’t have your passport yet keep track of the value of this cache you will need it. The passport can be downloaded here: Go to northal.org/things to do /Sports and Recreation/geocaching
