The Best of the LoHud is a Geotrail composed of 30 caches that will take you to some of the best locations the LoHud has to offer! For more information, click on the banner above

Welcome to Sugar Loaf Mtn! Located in the heart of the Breakneck Ridge this is more of a "hike" than a rock scramble like you'll find over in the more touristy section of the Ridge. Several steep inclines though and lots to see along the way while the beautiful Hudson scenery is at your back. The theme here is lets stop for a rest and drink in some views. If you're unequipped for a water break, go ahead and trade for something in the cache to help you be more prepared on your next trip. (The cache is large enough and will accomodate you). Please cover cache well after visiting and don't forget to make note of the special clue word as well. While here you'll be able to look over at Storm King, look down on Bannermans and look north to the bridge and the rest of the glorious Hudson Valley. Parking is available at the trail head coords. Come take a hike! Cache is placed with permission using permit #303.
